The Collings Jumbo, or CJ, is Collings' version of the classic slope-shouldered dreadnought. While the CJ is similar in width and depth to the traditional dreadnought, it has a distinctly different tone. While it retains a full and powerful sound the first thing I always notice is how much more balanced it sounds compared to the square shouldered D's- Less woof. Although Collings guitars in general tend to be extremely well balanced because they are hand-voiced, individually.
