Another light, loud and lively Custom Shop Tele – This time it’s based on a ’59 Custom Telecaster with double bound body in a beautiful, Chocolate 3 Tone Sunburst finish with a Time Capsule NOS finish package. It has ultra-thin, nitrocellulose “Flash Coat” lacquer (sometimes referred to as “Relic Ready”), which is not buffed out. It is glossy, but due the thin nature of the nitro, they don’t buff it. They just leave it in its natural state which does have a slight, orange peel texture and Closet Classic Nickel\/Chrome hardware. Overall the guitar is in excellent original condition without any serious issues, repairs or damage. It has been played, so there may be some fine, superficial marks here and there, but no major dings, dents or wear. One modification has been made – the off white side dots were hard to see so the original owner had them replaced with normal white side dots. If I didn’t mention it here I do not think you would notice as it is not detectable and looks completely stock.
