Of course it does all this while offering all the custom, boutique enhancements discerning players have come to expect from Tom Anderson Guitarworks. This particular Icon has some of my favorite Tom Anderson specs, as well as a unique wiring and pickup configuration we designed to offer the ultimate in tonal versatility. First off, let’s talk about what you see – The guitar has an In-Distress Level 3 finish package with Nitrocellulose Lacquer. It is Olympic White over 3 Tone Sunburst. Electronically, as you can see it is loaded with a Nashville-style Tele pickup compliment with TV1, VA7R and TV7+ pickups. We also have some very cool custom switching rigged up so you can get ALL the sounds. First and foremost you have a normal 5-way switch along with a Master Volume and Master Tone control. There is a Push\/Push on the Tone Control which provides the “Neck+Bridge” pickup combination when engaged. Press this again and it reverts to normal 5-way operation. There is also Mini Toggle switch which provides access to the “Bridge+Middle” pickups together In Series (like a humbucker). So basically you get all the typical Strat and Tele sounds, plus a preset for “boost” mode (which is how I like to think of the “Bridge+Middle” in series)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNow, on to the meat and potatoes – Swamp Ash body, Chocolate Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard, Happy Medium profile with rolled fingerboard edges, Heavy frets, Nickel Hardware, Locking Tuners and Gold logo.
