Eastwood Guitars Black Widow Bass - Black - Acoustic / Mosrite-inspired Electric Bass Guitar - NEW!
Eastwood Guitars Black Widow Bass
Acoustic / Bartell / Hohner-inspired Electric Bass Guitar
What is the Black Widow Bass? The original vintage “Black Widow” basses were branded under the “Acoustic” name, as well as “Bartell” and sometimes even Hohner. While most were built in Japan, many of the Black Widow Basses were actually made by Semie Mosley of Mosrite, USA in the late 1960's and early 70's. They were available in single and two pickup models with varying pickup styles over the years. Acoustic stopped making them in 1974 and the originals are quite rare now. Due to the Semi Mosley connection, and Eastwood’s affinity for so many of his cool designs, they thought it would be a fitting tribute to update this new version of the Black Widow Bass with the familiar Mosrite-style headstock. This tribute model Black Widow Bass is very close to the original with a tone-chambered Mahogany body, but also with a 32” scale, zero fret, 1 - 1/2" at nut, 24 frets, single high-output pickup, master volume and tone controls.
