Semi-Hollow Electric Bass Guitar!

Based on the ever popular Classic 4 and Classic 5 Bass Guitars from Eastwood, Classic 5 Seye Signature is a new model in the lineup designed specifically for Seye. Seye is best known as the bassist in Damon Albarn’s chart busting / globe-trotting project Gorillaz. This short scale, semi-hollow electric bass guitar is designed for the road or the studio, and sports a retro-inspired design is meant to evoke classic vintage basses from the sixties. Think Gretsch / Epiphone / Rickenbacker / Mosrite etc… The short 30 -1/2" scale allowed Eastwood to develop an instrument with great balance and a comfortable feel. Thanks to a pair of custom P90 pickups, the tone is natural, blooming, warm, and articulate. Dual Volume Controls and a Master Tone provide plenty of control too. The finish is satin Stealth Black with Gold Hardware for a touch of added class. This BASS will become your favorite everyday instrument!

Quite simply, we took a more modern approach to this one, incorporating some additional updated features like a 22 fret neck and contour heel, as well as the RSD trem with a pop-in arm, and vintage-locking tuners. It also comes standard with our super cool “2-Step” Headstock design – which features a tiered Tele over Strat motif. Easier chording, faster leads, and big bends are all made possible thanks to the 1 - 11\/16\" nut width, 9.5\" fingerboard radius, and 6105 fret wire. Adjustments are a breeze too! The Truss Rod is accessible from the headstock, so you no longer have to remove the neck for a tweak. One of his primary objectives as a luthier, is to achieve harmony and balance between function and esthetic. For Ari, a well-designed instrument will exhibit uniformity of sound in all registers of the neck. Essentially, the ‘ sweet-spot ‘ is experienced throughout the neck. This is achieved by having rigidity and resonance in their appropriate places — rigidity in the neck and the carved or bent sides of the body, resonance localized within the soundboard.
