Used! Just in on consignment! I sold this Rainsong WS1000 when new back in 2006 (to a personal friend of mine) and it’s just back on consignment. RainSong is well known as an innovator in building unique graphite/epoxy instruments since 1995, and earning a huge reputation for their instruments’ tone, appearance, durability, and quality. The WS 1000 was always one of their best-selling models and features a single-cutaway Grand Auditorium / Jumbo Cutaway body-style made of woven graphite, using what the company calls “projection tuned layering” construction to eliminate the need for braces in the body or on the soundboard.

The neck is made of a graphite/epoxy mix with 21 nickel silver frets and a 1-3/4” Tusq nut. A beautiful Abalone rosette and Mother of Pearl shark fretboard inlays add a unique and beautiful aesthetic, and a high-gloss UV protective urethane finish gives the woven graphite a cool, three-dimensional look. The WS 1000 has a warm, natural feel. It’s very light and comfortable to play. Because the RainSong has no internal bracing, it is loud, with outstanding projection. It throws clear, deep, bass and shimmering treble with slightly scooped mid-range, which gives it an almost plugged-in sound.

This WS 1000 is from the company’s Washington era (they were originally based in Hawaii) and comes equipped with an LR Baggs E-Element pickup system and electronics. It sounds great plugged in and is a very practical choice for gigging musicians, or anyone who lives in a location with seasons, due to it not being susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity like a traditional acoustic guitar with wood construction.

Overall, the WS1000 offers a pleasing, deep, natural tone, quality feel, and excellent craftsmanship. It’s a great “alternative” in the high-end acoustic guitar market. Freshly setup and ready to go! Exceptional condition without any serious issues, damage, or repairs. There may be a small blemish or mark here and there, but overall, it has not been used much and was well taken care. Like all our used/vintage gear it has been tested for functionality and priced to move. Original Hardshell Case included. What you see is what you get.

The original vintage lightning bolt bridge and tremolo are included in the case, but a genuine Leo Quan Badass bridge is currently installed for functionality.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eIt’s on consignment from a local client \/ musician. The vintage-style slide switch pickup selector has been replaced with a high quality 3-way toggle, which is more practical. No routing or modifications have been done to the body, and this mod is reversable to stock. The original vintage pickguard is shrunken and has some cracks, but it functions fine and looks the part. There are some dings, dents, and wear from use, but the headstock is fully intact with no breaks there, or anywhere else. It has been professionally re-fretted by a well-known local luthier (Geoff Benge) and sports a new bone nut.
