Luthier Alejandro Ramirez has been hand-crafting his line of o3 Custom Guitars and Basses since 2005. His forward thinking instruments blend modern aesthetic and ergonomic concepts with the art and tradition of classical Spanish luthiery. Rather than revisiting designs from the past, o3 Guitars push boundaries with their organic curves and clearly defined surfaces. Unique construction details include beautiful exotic tone woods, deeply set neck joints (similar to neck-through), magnetically mounted cavity covers as well as high-end electronics and quality hardware. This particular instrument is the Caesium Pangea bass with 5-strings. It’s the first of the Caesium series and is completely decked out with nearly all options available for the model including; Multiscale, Master Grade Poplar Burl top and back (cut of the same piece with the same figure), 7-piece neck from Flame Maple, Wenge and Purpleheart, Flamed Maple binding, Black MOP Inlay, Matching Figured headstock, Honduras Mahogany body core, wooden pickups and covers, made to measure Jazzbuckers by Haussel (like fat, humbucking, double Jazz Bass pickups which provide authentic Jazz Bass tone when split), and an Aguilar OBP3 preamp to complete these outstanding electronics.

First off, it sports an unbelievably cool, original vintage patina with plenty of desirable lacquer checks and just the right amount of wear that shows this instrument was played, and for good reason – It sounds and plays fantastic! No breaks! The original vintage lightning bolt bridge and tremolo are included in the case, but a genuine Leo Quan Badass bridge is currently installed for functionality.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eIt’s on consignment from a local client \/ musician. The vintage-style slide switch pickup selector has been replaced with a high quality 3-way toggle, which is more practical. No routing or modifications have been done to the body, and this mod is reversable to stock. The original vintage pickguard is shrunken and has some cracks, but it functions fine and looks the part. There are some dings, dents, and wear from use, but the headstock is fully intact with no breaks there, or anywhere else. It has been professionally re-fretted by a well-known local luthier (Geoff Benge) and sports a new bone nut. We did a fresh and complete, professional setup when it came in, so it’s ready to deliver another 60 years of diligent service.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eBoth pickups are original and I believe the other electronic components other than the previously mentioned pickup selector are also included, though the date codes are obscured by solder. A treble bleed circuit has been added to the neck pickup volume control, which can also be easily removed, but it really sounds good, so my recommendation is to leave it as-is and enjoy!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eThe condition is what you see. It’s not a case queen, but it is very good overall without any serious issues, damage, repairs, or modifications other than what has already been mentioned and described.
