B&G Guitars Private Build Little Sister
Cedar of Lebanon model
Hand-Wound P90 Pickups
This particular instrument is a Private Build Little Sister Cedar of Lebanon. The Cedar of Lebanon has been known since the dawn of history as a strong and luxuriant tree. It is mentioned in various ancient texts including several references in the Bible. King Solomon used cedar timber to build the Temple in Jerusalem. The Hebrew prophet Isaiah used the Lebanon cedar as a metaphor for the pride of the world, and as a symbol of the righteous.
The hand-picked, old-growth Cedar of Lebanon top wood combined with the 1-piece African Mahogany body, 1-piece Honduran Mahogany neck, and Pau Ferro fingerboard results in a unique blend of sweetness, warmth, and delicacy. Rich character with a clearly detailed fundamental, further defined by a waterfall of harmonics radiating from the guitar, the Little Sister with the most acoustic-like tonal quality.... Tone is somehow reminiscent of the typical sweetness of a classical guitar, with its clean and uncompressed attack, and unparalleled touch sensitivity. Definitively the most delicate sounding Little Sister, with a lush maturity to each and every note.
The Dual Volume / Master Tone control arrangement allows for infinite shades of blending between the two pickups. Vintage 50s-style wiring preserves the clarity of the tone. The Little Sister Cedar of Lebanon model looks as unique as it sounds too. She is treated with a natural aniline dye and finished with hand-rubbed shellac coating for that "Whiskey Barrel" look, which perfectly compliments the distressed look of raw brass hardware for a unique and tasteful patina with an unmistakably vintage feel and superb resonance.
