Based on the vintage Gibson L-00 style guitars first introduced around the same time as the OM, the Collings C10 is a leaner alternative, with the narrow waist and small upper bout resulting in a precise, focused response. Of all the various Collings acoustic guitar models, the C10 is perhaps the easiest for electric guitarists to adapt to, thanks in part to the more rounded neck profile. With its unique shape and asymmetrical headstock's lines echoed in the curvilinear pickguard, C10 models offer a welcome alternative for those who find that most small acoustic guitars look too much alike.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis guitar is not mint, but it is extremely nice. It does exhibit a vintage patina with wear appropriate for it's age though. Plenty of lacquer checking, some minor dings and dents, and an ambered clear coat. There is also some evidence on the back of a binding repair with finish touch up in the waist area.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe just had it fully setup and gone through by Third Coast Guitar Service where she received a fresh professional neck reset and refret with a new bone nut, saddle and bridge. Maybe only the slightest hints of superfical picks marks, cosmetics, etc... but you would really have to look hard and under intense light. No dings, dents, wear, damage, repairs, etc... This thing is clean. Collector owned and played only. The tone is absolutely incredible. Massive, Rich, Punchy, Sweet and Balanced. Sometimes these new Collings guitars, which are known for being incredibly clear and consitent, are also a bit \"tight\" or \"boxy\" when new. Not the case here- This guitar is just starting to open up and man does it sound great. I imagine the more it's played the better it will get. Not woofy at all- Just full, crispt and clear with a balanced, powerful low end that matches perfectly the bell like treble and warm, sweet mids.\u003c\/div\u003e\r\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\r\n\u003cdiv\u003eThis Collings D2H is loaded up with some incredible options- The Varnish Finish for one- This is an almost $2000 upgrade in an of itself. Its made from Adirondack Spruce (another $1000 upgrade) which address punch, volume, tone and more tone. Adirondack Spruce has a higher strength to weight ratio than Sitka or other Spruces, so you can get a more powerful sound with a lighter piece of wood. That translates to a very lively instrument. This is an oustanding guitar at an outstanding price! It's in immaculate condition- almost no evidence of being played at all. Maybe only the slightest hints of superfical picks marks, cosmetics, etc... but you would really have to look hard and under intense light. No dings, dents, wear, damage, repairs, etc... This thing is clean. Collector owned and played only. The tone is absolutely incredible. Massive, Rich, Punchy, Sweet and Balanced. Sometimes these new Collings guitars, which are known for being incredibly clear and consitent, are also a bit \"tight\" or \"boxy\" when new. Not the case here- This guitar is just starting to open up and man does it sound great. I imagine the more it's played the better it will get. Not woofy at all- Just full, crispt and clear with a balanced, powerful low end that matches perfectly the bell like treble and warm, sweet mids.\u003c\/div\u003e\r\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\r\n\u003cdiv\u003eThis Collings D2H is loaded up with some incredible options- The Varnish Finish for one- This is an almost $2000 upgrade in an of itself. It really adds to the tone of the guitar- Giving it a top end sweetness and more open sound. The sunburt top is also rich an elegant. Its made from Adirondack Spruce (another $1000 upgrade) which address punch, volume, tone and more tone. Adirondack Spruce has a higher strength to weight ratio than Sitka or other Spruces, so you can get a more powerful sound with a lighter piece of wood. That translates to a very lively instrument. The guitar is in amazing shape for its age as though it has been pampered through out its life. It is a fantastic playing guitar with a tone that only age can provide. Whether you are playing Jazz, Rockabilly or trying to keep up with some Django lines, this instrument is beyond fun. The craftsmenship is something to behold, particularly the Rosewood and Mother of Pearl inlays. They are quite striking, unlike anything you'll see these days. This guitar is incredibly well built. It feels very stable yet resonates like it KNOWS that resonating is its job.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eGibson Serial Numbers were sketchy at the time but to the best of our knowledge we have been able to approximate this to a late '34 or 1935 Model according to its serial number and components. It has a white oval label inside the bass-side F Hole with the serial number and model still legible. The finish is Weather Checked and there are a few dings and dents across the body as well as hairline crack by the tip top of the bass side f-hole. Not serious but there. We have seen far younger guitars showing much more severe signs of wear than this vintage L7. The neck is straight and the frets are in nice shape but have some wear. It appears the guitar may have been refretted. Who ever did the work did a great job as the guitar is playing like butter! The nut also looks to have been changed and shimmed at some point. I suspect that this is also a repro pickgaurd as guitar from this era typically had original nitrate pickgaurds that were known to disintegrate with age\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThis guitar is in very nice shape overall, but very old. The guitar is in amazing shape for its age as though it has been pampered through out its life. It is a fantastic playing guitar with a tone that only age can provide. Whether you are playing Jazz, Rockabilly or trying to keep up with some Django lines, this instrument is beyond fun. The craftsmenship is something to behold, particularly the Rosewood and Mother of Pearl inlays. They are quite striking, unlike anything you'll see these days. This guitar is incredibly well built. It feels very stable yet resonates like it KNOWS that resonating is its job.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eGibson Serial Numbers were sketchy at the time but to the best of our knowledge we have been able to approximate this to a late '34 or 1935 Model according to its serial number and components. It has a white oval label inside the bass-side F Hole with the serial number and model still legible. The finish is Weather Checked and there are a few dings and dents across the body as well as hairline crack by the tip top of the bass side f-hole. Not serious but there. We have seen far younger guitars showing much more severe signs of wear than this vintage L7. The neck is straight and the frets are in nice shape but have some wear. It appears the guitar may have been refretted. Who ever did the work did a great job as the guitar is playing like butter! The nut also looks to have been changed and shimmed at some point. I suspect that this is also a repro pickgaurd as guitar from this era typically had original nitrate pickgaurds that were known to disintegrate with age\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThis guitar is in very nice shape overall, but very old. It also has a pickup installed (which I believe is factory stock). I do not know specifically which model it is but it has a small volume control discreetly mounted in the sound hole and there is a battery inside on the neck block. The output jack is the end pin. This guitar is immaculate. It was hardly played and shows little, if any wear. The finish is starting to shrink back a bit so you can see some grain pores when you hold it up in certain light – which is a good thing as that means the finish is thin – for the best tone. Which is also great. Resonant, rich – classic J-45 tone. This guitar looks, sounds and plays great. If you are a lefty and you are looking for an awesome Gibson J-45 then this is the guitar for you. This Left Handed Gibson J-45 is a custom ordered 2007 model with the Banner headstock logo, beautiful Transparent Cherry finish and White pickguard for a cool look. It also has a pickup installed (which I believe is factory stock). I do not know specifically which model it is but it has a small volume control discreetly mounted in the sound hole and there is a battery inside on the neck block. The output jack is the end pin. This guitar is immaculate. It was hardly played and shows little, if any wear. The finish is starting to shrink back a bit so you can see some grain pores when you hold it up in certain light – which is a good thing as that means the finish is thin – for the best tone. Which is also great. Resonant, rich – classic J-45 tone. This guitar looks, sounds and plays great. If you are a lefty and you are looking for an awesome Gibson J-45 then this is the guitar for you. Solid wood construction with Spruce Top, Mahogany Back and Sides, Mahogany Neck with Rosewood Fingerboard and original hardshell case. This Gibson Montana acoustic guitar features a washed heritage cherry lacquer finish, solid premium Sitka Spruce top and solid Mahogany back and sides. A round mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard is also standard and comes with beautiful mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. This is a great sounding Gibson based on the classic, vintage Hummingbird but with slightly more understated cosmetic appointments. Thanks to an L.R. Baggs Element under-saddle transducer and built-in preamp the tone is excellent plugged-in or unplugged. An ingenious sound hole mounted volume control keeps the look clean as well. Binding is 6-ply on top and 4-ply on the back. Gold keystone tuners, a mother-of-pearl crown inlay on the headstock, tortoise pickguard and a traditional Gibson rosewood bridge complete the look. What you see is what you get. This guitar is excellent condition – no serious issues, repairs, dings, dents, etc… Just a solid, clean, well-cared for instrument. A minute scuff or two, and what looks like the outline of tape residue on the headstock (as if someone taped over the Gibson logo and inlay with scotch tape, then didn’t clean all the residue off when it was removed) are all that keeps it from being “mint \/ immaculate”. And those two aforementioned issues are too subtle to show up in photographs. This Gibson Montana acoustic guitar features a washed heritage cherry lacquer finish, solid premium Sitka Spruce top and solid Mahogany back and sides. A round mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard is also standard and comes with beautiful mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. This is a great sounding Gibson based on the classic, vintage Hummingbird but with slightly more understated cosmetic appointments. Thanks to an L.R. Baggs Element under-saddle transducer and built-in preamp the tone is excellent plugged-in or unplugged. An ingenious sound hole mounted volume control keeps the look clean as well. Binding is 6-ply on top and 4-ply on the back. Gold keystone tuners, a mother-of-pearl crown inlay on the headstock, tortoise pickguard and a traditional Gibson rosewood bridge complete the look. It doesn’t even appear to have been played more than a few times. The DCRSG is a cutaway Dreadnought built with a Sitka Spruce top and sustainable Mutenye back and sides. This guitar produces a beautiful even tone with good bass response, clear mids and sparkling trebles. The DCRSG also features a high performance neck profile and Fishman Sonitone electronics. This guitar sounds and plays great! Perfect for playing live, jamming with friends or songwriting and recording. The cutaway gives comfortable access to the highest registers and the electronics (with controls just inside the soundhole for easy access) provide a convenient way to jam out or record. Designed by Mario Maccaferri, and made by the French American Reeds Manufacturing Company of Mount Vernon, New York in the 1950's. Favored by aficionados like Jeff Beck, Jack White and Dave Grohl. One you pick it up you will have a hard time putting it down (no it isn’t sticky – it just sounds good!)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaccaferri (1900-1993) was born in Cento, Italy and at the age of eleven became an apprentice to guitarist and luthier Luigi Mozzani. After an early career as a guitarist and instrument maker in Europe, Maccaferri immigrated to the United States in 1939. Mario Maccaferri developed a variety of plastic instruments including plastic woodwind reeds and a plastic ukulele. When I first got this G-30 I thought maybe it was Bakelite, but it’s actually made of Dow Styron plastic (space age for the time). Great sounding and fun to play - these plastic guitars have a soul and tone all to themselves. Designed by Mario Maccaferri, and made by the French American Reeds Manufacturing Company of Mount Vernon, New York in the 1950's. Favored by aficionados like Jeff Beck, Jack White and Dave Grohl. One you pick it up you will have a hard time putting it down (no it isn’t sticky – it just sounds good!)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaccaferri (1900-1993) was born in Cento, Italy and at the age of eleven became an apprentice to guitarist and luthier Luigi Mozzani. After an early career as a guitarist and instrument maker in Europe, Maccaferri immigrated to the United States in 1939. Mario Maccaferri developed a variety of plastic instruments including plastic woodwind reeds and a plastic ukulele. When I first got this G-30 I thought maybe it was Bakelite, but it’s actually made of Dow Styron plastic (space age for the time). The back, sides and neck feature a gorgeous, swirled tortoise shell pattern. This is a rare find indeed. Don't miss out!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is from my personal collection. Like all our used \/ vintage gear this has been tested for functionality and priced to move. Sold as-is. What you see is what you get. It has been checked out by a professional tech. Very good condition without any serious issues or damage. The white “dot” inlays on the fingerboard and back are actually little plastic “plugs” and at least one is missing. The neck is steel reinforced. This is over 60 years old.
