This 1-off Custom Shop guitar is based on the 2012 Closet Classic Stratocaster Pro with an NOS (New Old Stock) finish package, so the paint is a high gloss and the chrome \/ nickel hardware is not aged at all. It's also got a Mint Pickguard for a classic look. These Pro Series guitars have some other great specs as well. It's a feather weight-wise and it rings like a bell! Super woody with plenty of twang and spank, but natural and organic sounding without some of the harsh qualities that can often be found on vintage Teles. Original vintage '51 Nocaster specifications with the exception of slightly larger frets and a flatter radius for improved playability, along with a set of Twisted Tele pickups for a more versatile sonic palette. The Fender Custom Shop Twisted Tele neck pickup is one of my favorites! The main difference between it and the stock Nocaster neck pickup is the type of metal the cover is made of- The Twisted Tele pickup allows more highs which give it a more lively, Strat-like tone. A Schaller \"Sure Claw\" allows for easy and exact spring adjustments. The neck rests in a unique, half-round cavity that keeps it from shifting- no matter what. And all components are fastened with hand-polished, stainless steel screws in threaded inserts, so they won't come loose and cannot be overtightended.
