Just in on consignment from one of our regular clients! This Fender Custom Shop 1963 Telecaster is a 2013 model with many custom options for great tone and playability. It’s a fairly lightweight guitar @ 7lbs, 7oz with an Alder body. The neck is a monster with a HUGE Nocaster “U” shaped profile, Dark Rosewood fingerboard, 9.5” fingerboard radius and 6105 frets. The pickup compliment consists of a Seymour Duncan ’59 model humbucker in the neck position with a Custom Shop Nocaster Tele model in the bridge. “Gatton” Brass Saddles retain the vintage look and tone but actually sit at a slight angle for better intonation. Overall this is just a great sounding and playing guitar. It’s a fairly lightweight guitar @ 7lbs, 7oz with an Alder body. The neck is a monster with a HUGE Nocaster “U” shaped profile, Dark Rosewood fingerboard, 9.5” fingerboard radius and 6105 frets. The pickup compliment consists of a Seymour Duncan ’59 model humbucker in the neck position with a Custom Shop Nocaster Tele model in the bridge. “Gatton” Brass Saddles retain the vintage look and tone but actually sit at a slight angle for better intonation. Overall this is just a great sounding and playing guitar. The body is lightweight Ash with ’57 style deep contours and the neck is 1-pc Rift Sawn Maple with a 54 Soft V profile, compound radius and 6105 frets. The pickups are a calibrated hand-wound set and feature the “DualMag” construction with a mixture of Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 magnets. The pickups are a calibrated hand-wound set and feature the “DualMag” construction with a mixture of Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 magnets. Another light, loud and lively Custom Shop Tele – This time it’s based on a ’59 Custom Telecaster with double bound body in a beautiful, Chocolate 3 Tone Sunburst finish with a Time Capsule NOS finish package. It has ultra-thin, nitrocellulose “Flash Coat” lacquer (sometimes referred to as “Relic Ready”), which is not buffed out. It is glossy, but due the thin nature of the nitro, they don’t buff it. They just leave it in its natural state which does have a slight, orange peel texture and Closet Classic Nickel\/Chrome hardware. Overall the guitar is in excellent original condition without any serious issues, repairs or damage. It has been played, so there may be some fine, superficial marks here and there, but no major dings, dents or wear. One modification has been made – the off white side dots were hard to see so the original owner had them replaced with normal white side dots. If I didn’t mention it here I do not think you would notice as it is not detectable and looks completely stock. Another light, loud and lively Custom Shop Tele – This time it’s based on a ’59 Custom Telecaster with double bound body in a beautiful, Chocolate 3 Tone Sunburst finish with a Time Capsule NOS finish package. It has ultra-thin, nitrocellulose “Flash Coat” lacquer (sometimes referred to as “Relic Ready”), which is not buffed out. It is glossy, but due the thin nature of the nitro, they don’t buff it. They just leave it in its natural state which does have a slight, orange peel texture and Closet Classic Nickel\/Chrome hardware. Overall the guitar is in excellent original condition without any serious issues, repairs or damage. It has been played, so there may be some fine, superficial marks here and there, but no major dings, dents or wear. One modification has been made – the off white side dots were hard to see so the original owner had them replaced with normal white side dots. If I didn’t mention it here I do not think you would notice as it is not detectable and looks completely stock. First off, it’s a LEFTY, which should be obviously by the looks of things, but last year I got sued by a blind guy who couldn’t use my website properly, so I figure it never hurts to clarify these things. The guitar is light, loud and lively. It sounds awesome thanks to a hand-wound set of 64 Strat pickups. The body is Alder and the neck has a dark, Rosewood fingerboard. The profile feels amazing – nice chunky 60’s Oval C with a 9.5” radius and 6105 frets and the finish is worn off the back for a silky smooth playing experience. Just in on consignment from one of our longtime regular collector clients! This Left-Handed ’64 Strat is a special ordered one-off and it has some great specs! First off, it’s a LEFTY, which should be obviously by the looks of things, but last year I got sued by a blind guy who couldn’t use my website properly, so I figure it never hurts to clarify these things. The guitar is light, loud and lively. It sounds awesome thanks to a hand-wound set of 64 Strat pickups. The body is Alder and the neck has a dark, Rosewood fingerboard. The profile feels amazing – nice chunky 60’s Oval C with a 9.5” radius and 6105 frets and the finish is worn off the back for a silky smooth playing experience.
