Designed specifically for fat sounding classic rock, the 40 watt Dirty Shirley puts vintage crunch similar to Led Zeppelin, ZZ top and Van Halen to a beautiful shimmering clean right at your fingertips. It comes standard with a series FX loop.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Dirty Shirley 40 watt tube guitar amplifier is based on a modified Marshall JTM 45 platform but features all that incredible, high gain tone Friedman amplifiers are known for. When fully cranked there is about as much on take as you get from the Brown Eye - another great Friedman amp. Although the Dirty Shirley head is a single channel amplifier, it is a versatile and dynamic amp and will clean up nicely if you back off your guitar's volume control. The Dirty Shirley features 40 watts of power from a pair of 5881 \/ 6L6 power tubes and it uses a GZ34 \/ 5AR4 rectifier.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo dial in great tone it's recommended to start with the following settings: Use low input with the Bass maxed, Treble \u0026amp; Presence at Noon, Mid at about 2:00, Master at 10:00 and Gain at 2:00. This will give you that Big- fat Zep tone. From there just crank the gain to see what’s available. Then switch to high-gain input and tweak to taste. For a big, open Crunch Tone or a nice Clean, just lower your guitar volume. These vintage Gibson Goldtone GA15 combos were made for Gibson by Trace Elliot in the UK and are well known for their fantastic tone. Just plug in, turn up, and rock out. The clarity and definition are excellent – Rich, Full and Sparkling with a classic British chime. It’s easy to push this amp into crunchy overdriven territory, but it is very dynamic and has decent headroom too. Just roll down your guitar’s volume control for clean and roll up for that cranked sound. The controls are simple – Volume and Tone with a Bright Switch. It’s loaded with Celestion Vintage 10 speaker. Two EL-84s, Two 12AX7s. What more do you need? The logo is missing but otherwise it’s in decent shape cosmetically. Maybe some minor scuffs here and there, but nothing serious. Never gigged. Home use only. The clarity and definition are excellent – Rich, Full and Sparkling with a classic British chime. It’s easy to push this amp into crunchy overdriven territory, but it is very dynamic and has decent headroom too. Just roll down your guitar’s volume control for clean and roll up for that cranked sound. The controls are simple – Volume and Tone with a Bright Switch. It’s loaded with Celestion Vintage 10 speaker. Two EL-84s, Two 12AX7s. What more do you need? The logo is missing but otherwise it’s in decent shape cosmetically. Maybe some minor scuffs here and there, but nothing serious. Never gigged. Home use only.
