Thanks to Music Man’s many circuit refinements, you get the warm sound of tubes, plus cool running, low noise, and high power ratings. The “R” in “RD Series” stands for “Reverb”, and the built-in reverb has anti-shock “Z” spring delay, a genuine advantage over long springs when running high power. The reverb can be adjusted with a front panel control, and turned On\/Off via Footswitch.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe “D” in “RD Series” stands for “Distortion”. Five controls (two sets of Gain and Volume controls, and a footswitch that selects between them) let you dial in precisely the amount of distortion you want… from a clean, well-defined sound, to a gentle warmth when you play hard, to an all-out raucous rock and roll sound. You can adjust the Gain for more distortion, and then turn down the Volume to keep the power level where you want it. There are separate inputs for Clean and Gain Channels. The Clean Channel includes Volume, Bass and Treble controls. The Gain Channel includes a Gain control, Master Volume, and Treble, Mid, Bass and Presence knobs. If you want to footswitch between channels you need some kind of A\/B box.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI was told the modifications were done by Bob Bradshaw - There is no paperwork or other indication inside the amp about who actually did the work but photos are posted of the inside. It sounds and functions great. I don't think it was being used regularly for some time. There are separate inputs for Clean and Gain Channels. The Clean Channel includes Volume, Bass and Treble controls. The Gain Channel includes a Gain control, Master Volume, and Treble, Mid, Bass and Presence knobs. If you want to footswitch between channels you need some kind of A\/B box.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI was told the modifications were done by Bob Bradshaw - There is no paperwork or other indication inside the amp about who actually did the work but photos are posted of the inside. It sounds and functions great. I don't think it was being used regularly for some time.
