The color is interesting - not what I would have chosen but it's actually pretty cool and like all guitars that dare wear Pink - It better sound good, and it does. Especially good. Fantastic in fact. So nothing to worry about there :0) It's nice to take a classic, Les Paul style design like this and make it unique. Everyone will be asking what you are playing! All Nik Huber guitars are hand-tuned for tone and this one sounds exactly like you would expect (unless you haven't experienced the awesomeness that is a Nik Huber instrument, in which case it sounds significantly better than you could ever imagine). You don't even need to plug this guitar in to know it will sound like god. Want clean? Just roll back on the volume. Want gain? Roll up. The large, vintage-style neck is big, but expertly crafted, and ultra-comfortable. Just fat enough to be fat. But refined. Not so huge that it feels cumbersome or bloated. Basically, it feels like it was carved special just for your hands. This guitar also sports a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a one-off Custom Huber. With Twangmeister, Nik Huber has been able to create a truly original take on a classic Tele-inspired design. Nothing quite compares to the feel and tone of Nik's guitars. They are comfortable- as if custom-tailored just for your own hand. The figured Maple neck has a perfect medium carve that is chunky, yet not overbearing. It also has a silky-smooth, oil finish for a natural wood feel. The body is lightweight Swamp Ash and the hardware has a lightly aged \/ distressed finish that helps give the guitar a vintage-vibe without being over the top beat up. Although the neck pickup looks like a P-90 it's actually just a great sounding Tele-style neck pickup hiding under a P90 cover. It blends fantastically with the Broad T-style bridge pickup. With Twangmeister, Nik Huber has been able to create a truly original take on a classic Tele-inspired design. Nothing quite compares to the feel and tone of Nik's guitars. They are comfortable- as if custom-tailored just for your own hand. The figured Maple neck has a perfect medium carve that is chunky, yet not overbearing. It also has a silky-smooth, oil finish for a natural wood feel. The body is lightweight Swamp Ash and the hardware has a lightly aged \/ distressed finish that helps give the guitar a vintage-vibe without being over the top beat up. Although the neck pickup looks like a P-90 it's actually just a great sounding Tele-style neck pickup hiding under a P90 cover. It blends fantastically with the Broad T-style bridge pickup. The Harry Hausel pickups sound killer and this one sports and unique Humbucker \/ Humbucker combination (normally it's Hum \/ P-90 on these guitars) and it is suprisingly versatile thanks to a push\/pull on the tone control for coil split. You don't even need to plug this guitar in to know it will sound like god. Want clean? Just roll back on the volume. Want gain? Roll up. The Harry Hausel pickups sound killer and this one sports and unique Humbucker \/ Humbucker combination (normally it's Hum \/ P-90 on these guitars) and it is suprisingly versatile thanks to a push\/pull on the tone control for coil split. You don't even need to plug this guitar in to know it will sound like god. Want clean? Just roll back on the volume. Want gain? Roll up. The oil finished Maple neck is beautiful but it's also silky smooth and ultra-confortable. Just fat enough to be fat. But refined. Not so huge that it feels cumbersome or bloated.
