Based on the vintage Gibson L-00 style guitars first introduced around the same time as the OM, the Collings C10 is a leaner alternative, with the narrow waist and small upper bout resulting in a precise, focused response. Of all the various Collings acoustic guitar models, the C10 is perhaps the easiest for electric guitarists to adapt to, thanks in part to the more rounded neck profile. With its unique shape and asymmetrical headstock's lines echoed in the curvilinear pickguard, C10 models offer a welcome alternative for those who find that most small acoustic guitars look too much alike.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis guitar is not mint, but it is extremely nice. It’s been played and there are cosmetic marks and other signs of use, but no serious issues like major damage, heavy wear, or significant repairs, etc… Frets are great. Of all the various Collings acoustic guitar models, the C10 is perhaps the easiest for electric guitarists to adapt to, thanks in part to the more rounded neck profile. Each version is available with a T-Bar or Adjustable truss rod. The ladder bracing option provides woody and open tone, with midrange honk that's perfect for old-school fingerstyle blues while the \"X\" braced version retains tighter focus and balance across the tonal spectrum. Tonally speaking, Waterloo Guitars are all about character. Capturing that certain rawness- A sound with grit. This thing is clean. Collector owned and played only. The tone is absolutely incredible. Massive, Rich, Punchy, Sweet and Balanced. Sometimes these new Collings guitars, which are known for being incredibly clear and consitent, are also a bit \"tight\" or \"boxy\" when new. Not the case here- This guitar is just starting to open up and man does it sound great. I imagine the more it's played the better it will get. Its made from Adirondack Spruce (another $1000 upgrade) which address punch, volume, tone and more tone. Adirondack Spruce has a higher strength to weight ratio than Sitka or other Spruces, so you can get a more powerful sound with a lighter piece of wood. That translates to a very lively instrument. Maybe only the slightest hints of superfical picks marks, cosmetics, etc... but you would really have to look hard and under intense light. No dings, dents, wear, damage, repairs, etc... This thing is clean. Collector owned and played only. The tone is absolutely incredible. Massive, Rich, Punchy, Sweet and Balanced. Sometimes these new Collings guitars, which are known for being incredibly clear and consitent, are also a bit \"tight\" or \"boxy\" when new. Not the case here- This guitar is just starting to open up and man does it sound great. I imagine the more it's played the better it will get. Not woofy at all- Just full, crispt and clear with a balanced, powerful low end that matches perfectly the bell like treble and warm, sweet mids.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThis Collings D2H is loaded up with some incredible options- The Varnish Finish for one- This is an almost $2000 upgrade in an of itself. It really adds to the tone of the guitar- Giving it a top end sweetness and more open sound. The sunburt top is also rich an elegant. Its made from Adirondack Spruce (another $1000 upgrade) which address punch, volume, tone and more tone. Adirondack Spruce has a higher strength to weight ratio than Sitka or other Spruces, so you can get a more powerful sound with a lighter piece of wood. That translates to a very lively instrument.
