It was just fully and professionally serviced with “the works” - including a full setup and fresh strings. It is an absolute joy to play and loaded with great sounds thanks to a very versatile pickup and electronics configuration. The HH pickup setup includes an HF1 and HF3 humbucker in the bridge and that is all wired to a 5-way switch with Push\/Pull Tone Control for maximum split and full tone options. It’s not a bad looker either with its Flamed Maple top on Mahogany body in Transparent Black Burst with Binding. It is an absolute joy to play and loaded with great sounds thanks to a very versatile pickup and electronics configuration. The HSS pickup setup includes a pair of SD1 hum cancelling single coils along with an H3 humbucker in the bridge. That is all wired to the “Switcheroo” with Vintage Voicing for maximum tone. It’s not a bad looker either with it’s Flamed Maple top on Mahogany body in Cherryburst with Binding. The neck is Maple\/Rosewood with an Even Taper (T\/A Standard) backshape, 1 11\/16” nut width and heavy frets.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis guitar is in nice shape. It has been played over the years so there are some cosmetic signs of use, but overall it has been well cared for and there are no serious issues, damage, repairs, etc… The backplate still appears to have it’s original plastic which would likely take some serious elbow grease and\/or goo gone to remove. The backplate also appears to have a small crack by one of the screw holes, but this is not serious and does not affect anything related to tone, playability, structural integrity, etc.. The HSS pickup setup includes a pair of SD1 hum cancelling single coils along with an H3 humbucker in the bridge. That is all wired to the “Switcheroo” with Vintage Voicing for maximum tone. It’s not a bad looker either with it’s Flamed Maple top on Mahogany body in Cherryburst with Binding. The neck is Maple\/Rosewood with an Even Taper (T\/A Standard) backshape, 1 11\/16” nut width and heavy frets.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis guitar is in nice shape. It has been played over the years so there are some cosmetic signs of use, but overall it has been well cared for and there are no serious issues, damage, repairs, etc… The backplate still appears to have it’s original plastic which would likely take some serious elbow grease and\/or goo gone to remove. The backplate also appears to have a small crack by one of the screw holes, but this is not serious and does not affect anything related to tone, playability, structural integrity, etc.. It's one of our favorite specs to date!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Icon Classic was designed to convey the classic cosmetic vibe of an iconic, vintage Stratocaster-style guitar. Of course it does all this while offering all the custom, boutique enhancements discerning players have come to expect from Tom Anderson Guitarworks. This particular Icon has some of my favorite Tom Anderson specs, as well as a unique wiring and pickup configuration we designed to offer the ultimate in tonal versatility. First off, let’s talk about what you see – The guitar has an In-Distress Level 3 finish package with Nitrocellulose Lacquer. It is Olympic White over 3 Tone Sunburst. Electronically, as you can see it is loaded with a Nashville-style Tele pickup compliment with TV1, VA7R and TV7+ pickups. We also have some very cool custom switching rigged up so you can get ALL the sounds. First and foremost you have a normal 5-way switch along with a Master Volume and Master Tone control. There is a Push\/Push on the Tone Control which provides the “Neck+Bridge” pickup combination when engaged. Press this again and it reverts to normal 5-way operation. There is also Mini Toggle switch which provides access to the “Bridge+Middle” pickups together In Series (like a humbucker). So basically you get all the typical Strat and Tele sounds, plus a preset for “boost” mode (which is how I like to think of the “Bridge+Middle” in series)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNow, on to the meat and potatoes – Swamp Ash body, Chocolate Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard, Happy Medium profile with rolled fingerboard edges, Heavy frets, Nickel Hardware, Locking Tuners and Gold logo. Of course it does all this while offering all the custom, boutique enhancements discerning players have come to expect from Tom Anderson Guitarworks. This particular Icon has some of my favorite Tom Anderson specs, as well as a unique wiring and pickup configuration we designed to offer the ultimate in tonal versatility. First off, let’s talk about what you see – The guitar has an In-Distress Level 3 finish package with Nitrocellulose Lacquer. It is Olympic White over 3 Tone Sunburst. Electronically, as you can see it is loaded with a Nashville-style Tele pickup compliment with TV1, VA7R and TV7+ pickups. We also have some very cool custom switching rigged up so you can get ALL the sounds. First and foremost you have a normal 5-way switch along with a Master Volume and Master Tone control. There is a Push\/Push on the Tone Control which provides the “Neck+Bridge” pickup combination when engaged. Press this again and it reverts to normal 5-way operation. There is also Mini Toggle switch which provides access to the “Bridge+Middle” pickups together In Series (like a humbucker). So basically you get all the typical Strat and Tele sounds, plus a preset for “boost” mode (which is how I like to think of the “Bridge+Middle” in series)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNow, on to the meat and potatoes – Swamp Ash body, Chocolate Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard, Happy Medium profile with rolled fingerboard edges, Heavy frets, Nickel Hardware, Locking Tuners and Gold logo.
