Airline Guitars MAP Bass - White - 34" Scale Electric Bass Guitar - NEW!
Airline Guitars MAP Bass
34” Scale Electric Bass Guitar
Based on vintage Valco, National and Airline instruments
Eastwood and Airline guitars are a great value, fun to play and have a cool vibe!
The Airline MAP Bass is a tribute to the vintage National, Valco and Airline instruments of the 1960s. As a “reissue”, it maintains the cool vibe of the original VALCO design, but addresses issues with playability, reliability and construction that those old guitars and basses were infamous for - All at a price far below the soaring cost of the highly sought after, vintage instruments. Original MAP Res-O-Glas models now sell for $3,000-$5,000. You can own this vintage reissue tribute model for a fraction of that price, and it’s a phenomenal instrument for the money.
The 34” scale MAP Bass is well-balanced and fits comfortably against the body while its medium / slim neck fits nicely in the hand. The body is made from Tone Chambered Mahogany and the all wood construction gives a rich, resonant tone vs the rather dead sounding, Reso-glas construction of the originals. Two killer sounding humbucker pickups and a Bigsby tremolo top off the package.
