The Dr. Z Airbrake is one of the most popular guitar amplifier accessories we have for sale! This attenuator is extremely versatile and whether you are in the studio, on stage, or simply at home jamming, it is a great choice for managing your guitar amp volume needs.
On the stage, the DR. Z Air Brake is a useful tool for reducing your overall dB level during a performance. Sound guy or singer yelling at you to turn down? Well the Air Brake lets you keep your amp cranked while keeping your volume low.
At home or in the studio, the Air Brake comes in handy for reducing the volume while still letting your amp do what it does best, run the tubes nice and hot allowing for full output tube distortion.
The Air Brake also has a "bedroom" level control that, when selected, will allow for fine adjustment and maximum attenuation down to 1 watt (with amps less than 100 watts.) This is one of the few Power Soak / Brake / Attenuator devices that won't suck all the life out of your tone. Even at low volumes, the low end stays present and balanced.Features and Specs of the Z AirBrake from Dr. Z amps:

Dr Z Amps are officially UL/CSA certified! They're also CE certified for the rest of the world. No too many other boutique amp manufacturers offer products that are UL certified. It's a very long and expensive ordeal and rightfully so, they are quite proud to offer amps that are tested and certified for safety, reliability, and durability. Dr. Z Amplification are tested and spot checked quarterly by ETL to insure their building methods and materials meet the strict requirements for certification.
Why is this important? UL Certification requires a manufacturer to build for safety, durability and reliability.
