Master Vintage Player's Series - MVP
Custom Team Built Electric Guitar!
The Vintage Fender Strat- REDEFINED! This Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster Super Relic was designed specifically to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Make'n Music and is part of our famed Master Vintage Players Series (MVP) Limited Edition run!!! These special instruments are custom designed to offer the Ultimate in Tone, Playability and Feel. Each guitar is hand-made to our specs in order to give the vibe and look of an actual vintage instrument, but with all the conveniences of a true modern player's piece.
This particular guitar is based of the Fender Custom Shop 1969 Stratocaster, but modified cosmetically with "F" tuners and a Bullet truss rod to give it a 1973 Stratocaster vibe to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Make'n Music! A special hand-distressed, Heavy Relic finish package was designed to replicate decades of road worn wear and tear! Another nifty feature is the S-1 switch hidden discretely in the center of the volume knob. When activated this will give you the neck / bridge pickup combination at your fingertips for all those Jimmy Page / Ritchie Blackmore type tones. Even a bit of Tele tone flavor. Of course all the classic Stratocaster tones you know and love are still there too- Right where they should be. These guitars are spec'd with the Custom Shop '69 pickups in the neck and middle position for that "Wind Cries Mary" Sparkle and Chime, but the bridge position gets a Custom Shop Fat 50's pickup for a slightly ballsier, beefier tone.
The Fender Custom Shop Master Vintage Player Series Strats and Teles may look and feel like actual vintage guitars, but they play like a dream. Easier chording, faster leads and no fretting out when you go for the big bends thanks to the 1&11/16" nut width, flatter 9.5" fingerboard radius and 6105 fret wire. Adjustments are a breeze too! The Bullet Truss Rod is accessible from the headstock, so you no longer have to remove the neck for a tweak. The neck uses a vintage-style 4-bolt pocket for the best tone and stability.
I feel like I'm hosting an infomercial here- "But Wait! There's more!!!" It's all true though. These are great guitars. Killer tone and playability.
