It is a player’s grade piece with dings and dents from use and a nice patina with some light checking. It plays great with low action and the truss rod functions as it should. We just had it fully setup and gone through by Third Coast Guitar Service. They professionally repaired and cleated a center seam, humidity related top crack and touched up the finish there as well. It doesn’t even appear to have been played more than a few times. The DCRSG is a cutaway Dreadnought built with a Sitka Spruce top and sustainable Mutenye back and sides. This guitar produces a beautiful even tone with good bass response, clear mids and sparkling trebles. The DCRSG also features a high performance neck profile and Fishman Sonitone electronics. This guitar sounds and plays great! Perfect for playing live, jamming with friends or songwriting and recording. The cutaway gives comfortable access to the highest registers and the electronics (with controls just inside the soundhole for easy access) provide a convenient way to jam out or record. This guitar produces a beautiful even tone with good bass response, clear mids and sparkling trebles. The DCRSG also features a high performance neck profile and Fishman Sonitone electronics. This guitar sounds and plays great! Perfect for playing live, jamming with friends or songwriting and recording. The cutaway gives comfortable access to the highest registers and the electronics (with controls just inside the soundhole for easy access) provide a convenient way to jam out or record. Designed by Mario Maccaferri, and made by the French American Reeds Manufacturing Company of Mount Vernon, New York in the 1950's. Favored by aficionados like Jeff Beck, Jack White and Dave Grohl. One you pick it up you will have a hard time putting it down (no it isn’t sticky – it just sounds good!)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaccaferri (1900-1993) was born in Cento, Italy and at the age of eleven became an apprentice to guitarist and luthier Luigi Mozzani. After an early career as a guitarist and instrument maker in Europe, Maccaferri immigrated to the United States in 1939. Mario Maccaferri developed a variety of plastic instruments including plastic woodwind reeds and a plastic ukulele. When I first got this G-30 I thought maybe it was Bakelite, but it’s actually made of Dow Styron plastic (space age for the time). Designed by Mario Maccaferri, and made by the French American Reeds Manufacturing Company of Mount Vernon, New York in the 1950's. Favored by aficionados like Jeff Beck, Jack White and Dave Grohl. One you pick it up you will have a hard time putting it down (no it isn’t sticky – it just sounds good!)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaccaferri (1900-1993) was born in Cento, Italy and at the age of eleven became an apprentice to guitarist and luthier Luigi Mozzani. After an early career as a guitarist and instrument maker in Europe, Maccaferri immigrated to the United States in 1939. Mario Maccaferri developed a variety of plastic instruments including plastic woodwind reeds and a plastic ukulele. When I first got this G-30 I thought maybe it was Bakelite, but it’s actually made of Dow Styron plastic (space age for the time). I am not sure if the bridge plate is original but it is small and maple and appears to be in good shape (we did not replace this). There are some repaired \/ cleated cracks – at least one on the top and several on the back. All repaired cracks are solid. I cannot confirm if there is any over spray - if there is I suspect this would have been done long ago as none of the visible wear appears to be under the finish. The neck is incredibly comfortable with a 1-11\/16” nut width and worn, soft V profile. The tone is rich, detailed, and balanced. This is the perfect player \/ collector guitar. This guitar has been freshly serviced with “the works!” including a neck reset, refret, new bridge, new bone nut and saddle and replacement pickguard. The small Maple bridge plate is original and has had the end pin holes professionally plugged and re-drilled. There is a cleated repaired top crack (center seam). All work is professional, solid, ready to play! The neck is incredibly comfortable with a 1-11\/16” nut width and worn, soft V profile. The tone is rich, detailed, and balanced.
